Harrison & Wallace McCain
Brothers Harrison and Wallace McCain were icons of the Canadian food business. The two founded a small N.B.- based potato business in 1956 and transformed it into a multi-billion-dollar global food empire famous for its frozen french fries. In 1995, Wallace left McCain Foods to take over Maple Leaf Foods. Both brothers received many honours for their leadership and philanthropic activities, including Companion of the Order of Canada, the 1988 Golden Pencil award and Canadian Business Hall of Fame, to name just a few. Harrison passed away in 2004, and Wallace in 2011.
