Pierre Riel

Proudly Indigenous, Pierre Riel studied to become a nurse before joining Price Club in 1986 as a forklift operator. When Price Club merged with Costco Wholesale, Riel remained at Costco, filling many positions of increasing responsibility, including store manager. In 2022, he was promoted to executive vice president, chief operating officer, international, after overseeing the company’s Eastern Canada operations for more than 20 years and most recently serving as senior vice president and country manager, Canada.
